Is Actuarial Science my cup of TEA?

It has been hard time for the eighteens to think about their future in these few months. When we talk about future,
Psychologist would said :" Just follow your heart and let your talent shines in the field that you're interested in."
Our parents(Mostly the Asian) would said :" You either start working or studying now, if you're going to study, you must be the doctor, lawyer, CEO or any big bucks after studying, just don't waste my money."
My relatives think :" You're good in studying (maybe not working?), why don't you continue studying and get a great certificate in the future. It's all about certificate and money after eighteens.
And I think :"Just fuck it off, I love piano. But Malaysia's piano/music education is totally sucks compared to UK and US."

But, recently I found that there's a job called "Actuary" and it's ranked the best job in the past few years. Besides that, the global markets demand a ton of actuaries in the future. So, it has great job opportunities.
So I decided to choose this as my future career as:
  1. My maths is quiet okay. I usually didn't jot down notes those given by teachers in secondary school and I found that I can catch up pretty fast with teacher. This should be an advantage in actuarial science as it needs good math skill and understanding. Hope it will help =D
  2. I love expecting and planning since I was so young. I remembered when I was in primary, I always love to calculate how much I have to save my pocket money everyday to a certain amount in the next year and how could I spend it wisely. So clever right? Ha ha, and I used to plan some "unprofessional saving plan" for my families when young but they kindly rejected it as it was still a kid's stuff. Got talent right? Blah...
  3. According to the actuaries nowadays, they said to be an actuary, what we should do is study, work, work and study. And mostly, the study time is insane so we will be always alone and become not sociable enough. So I think this REALLY SUIT ME as I loved to let myself studying alone in a locked room since I was in primary school. To be honest, I always love to be alone. Ha ha ha...
  4. Actually I'm not that interested in the salary because basically money is not a big matter for me. It's just a "medium" for us to exchange some product or service. Why we need it so much? So, the high salary paid for actuary literally not attractive to me. =D
